Technical Architect Promethium Inc
2019 - PresentAs the founding engineer at Promethium I have designed, developed, deployed and built most services within the product ground up. Promethium solves the problem of data analytics by providing real time access to enterprise data without moving the data. Recently we have built “Mantra”- a self service AI Agent that empowers data teams in a new way to answer business questions. I am leading a team of backend/devops engineers. Typically, a team of 4/5 engineers will work on a new feature. I spent about 50/50 on design/development. Since most feature developments happen on pace there are always devOps involved to handle CI/CD.
● One of the 4 member team in building from zero Promethium's "Mantra" agent. Mantra is Promethium's agentic approach to help data teams gain more insights from their data at AI Scale. It is built on the top of Promethium data fabric. Its LLM Agnostic and multi-agent chatbot enables users to interact with, update, and manage data using agents.
● Developed Trino Plugins for Databricks, SapHana, Salesforce, Snowflake for Trino.
● Created architectural design and development effort plan for Promethium SaaS cloud application.
● Worked with stakeholders to translate current and future use cases into technical requirements and future-proofed architecture.
● Mentored other team members for implementing features and writing code.
● Implemented high available backend systems using AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, Elastic Beanstalk, AWS S3, AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions, Serverless Framework;
● Designed & developed RESTful API backend using Java, Python, TypeScript & Serverless framework & using ElasticSearch, DynamoDB as backend databases;
● Worked on multiple cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, GCP to deploy Promethium Intelligent Edge as a kubernetes service;
● Built SQL queries on Presto, debug and fix performance issues with Presto and Redash.
● Developed database crawler component to extract metadata from remote databases and used AWS Lambda and Serverless framework.
● Developed application on Javascript to serve frontend logic based on Serverless framework.
● Provide technical direction and oversight to cloud implementation teams. -
